Fran Lints

Born and bred in Wellington, Fran graduated from Victoria University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Criminology.  Fran was admitted to the bar in 2016 and has practiced family law in the Hutt Valley since 2017. Prior to joining the Reids team in 2022, Fran also specialised in conveyancing, wills, EPOA’s and PPPR work so has background knowledge in these areas.

In 2022 Fran was appointed as Lawyer for Subject Person by the Family Court for PPPR work. In 2023 Fran was appointed to the Lawyer for Child panel. She has experience in all areas of family law, specialising in care/contact, domestic violence and Oranga Tamariki proceedings. Fran acts for both legally aided and privately paying clients and undertakes work in the Hutt Valley, Wellington, Porirua and Masterton Courts.

Fran enjoys the variety that comes with family law and does her best to guide her clients through the Family Court process in a manner which is as stress-free and straightforward as possible. Good communication and clear advice are key elements of this. Fran is one of the Hutt Valley representatives of the Family Law Section and in this role enjoys organising functions and professional development seminars. 

Outside of work Fran enjoys playing squash and hockey, cooking and spending time with her friends and family.
